The Ultimate Guide to the Best Snacks at Epcot

A big part of the fun to be had at Epcot is trying all the best snacks from around the world. This park is a massive foodie wonderland, making it a hot spot for Disney adults.

If you’re headed here on your next visit, you’re going to want to come in with a plan on what to try so you don’t spend all your time perusing the menus on My Disney Experience.

So today, let’s take a trip around the park to highlight all the best snacks at Epcot that’ll make your visit unforgettable.

World Showcase

“Canada or Mexico?” is the ultimate debate as to how to tour the World Showcase. Some even throw France in there as an option with the International Gateway hidden entrance.

But honestly, when it comes to snacks, it’s Mexico for me! So let’s make our way around, from Mexico to Canada.

Elote

This Mexican street corn is grilled to perfection and topped with chipotle aioli, cotija cheese, and a sprinkle of Taijin chili-lime powder. Trust me, it’s a flavor explosion.

You can get this delicious snack at Choza de Margarita, right outside the entrance to the Mexico pavilion building.

Empanada de Barbacoa

Another stellar snack from the Mexico pavilion is the empanada de barbacoa, also available from Choza de Margarita.

With this snack order, you get 2 crispy empanadas filled with beef barbacoa and topped with chipotle sauce, queso fresco, and crema Mexicana. It also comes with a small cup of corn esquites.

School Bread

A classic Epcot snack is the school bread from Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway pavilion.

This Norwegian pastry is filled with sweet custard, topped with toasted coconut, and bursting with creamy goodness. It’s like a hug for your tastebuds.

Cinnamon Roll with Orange Cream Cheese Icing

One of the newest snacks to hit Epcot is the cinnamon roll with orange cream cheese icing from Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe.

The citrus zing in the icing is a refreshing addition and you bet there’s plenty of it! Best of all, this cinnamon roll is served warm, so the icing melts just a tiny bit.

Pork Egg Rolls

Warm, crispy, and packed with savory flavors, these egg rolls are an affordable snack and perfect for sharing (or not – no judgment).

In my opinion, these egg rolls are best enjoyed with some duck sauce, so be sure to grab a few packets while the cast members are grabbing your order.

You can get this savory snack at Joy of Tea, across from the China pavilion.

Caramel Butter Bar

Shortbread and caramel join forces to create this buttery, melt-in-your-mouth bar from Karamell-Kùche in the Germany pavilion.

It’s an ideal sweet treat to grab just before the nighttime show, Luminous – The Symphony of Us.

Another favorite snack of mine from Karamell-Kúche is the caramel chocolate chip & pretzel cookie.

It’s your classic chocolate chip cookie with pretzels mixed in and a Werther’s caramel drizzle on top. Gotta love that salty & sweet combo!

The best part? This cookie is the perfect amount of soft and sturdy, making it perfect to stash in your park bag for a snack back at the resort.

Pepperoni pizza slice

For one of the best slices of pepperoni pizza at Disney World, head to Pizza al Taglio.

The crust is thick and chewy, the pepperoni does that cute little cup thing, and the cheese is perfectly melty and a teeny bit salty (in a good way).

Don’t like pepperoni? No problem – they also sell slices of cheese pizza, too!

This spot is a bit hidden since it doesn’t appear on the Epcot map on the My Disney Experience app. To get there, walk all the way to the back of the Italy pavilion, toward Via Napoli. The order window for Pizza al Taglio will be to the left of the restaurant.

Gelato

One of my favorite cool-me-down snacks at Epcot is a cup of gelato from Gelateria Toscana, just outside the Italy pavilion. You can also get a waffle bowl if you prefer that over a cup.

My personal faves are the espresso and the cherry (which I believe is a special flavor that isn’t always on the menu).

The American Dream Slushy

This snack combines 2 of my favorite classic snacks: slushies and soft serve!

The American Dream Slushy features a layer of cherry slush, vanilla soft serve, and blue raspberry slush. It’s as patriotic as it is delicious!

You can find this fun snack at Fife & Drum Tavern just outside the American Adventure pavilion.

Hattendo Cream Bun

Hattendo is a popular bakery that started in Japan in 1933 with nearly 2 dozen shops across the country, as well Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Canada (source).

They are well known for their sweet bun filled with a custard concoction – and now you can get it at Epcot!

Head to Mitsukoshi in the Japan pavilion and make your way to the back, where all the snacks are.

You can get this delicious bun filled with custard, chocolate, or matcha (my fave) cream at the register in the back room. Just be sure to eat it right away so it doesn’t get too melty or soggy.

Frozen Mint Tea

One of the best slushy drinks at Epcot is the frozen mint tea from Oasis Sweets & Sips, outside the Morocco pavilion.

The mint makes this already refreshing drink even more so. I love to grab one if I’m coming in from the International Gateway, so I can sip it as I make my way to Cosmic Rewind.

TIP: Mint is also great for digestion, so if you’ve been snacking your way around the world and getting a bit of a tummy ache, this might help (source).

Café Glacé

Another drink-as-a-snack option is the café glacé from L’Artisan des Glaces in the France pavilion.

In a nutshell, this is an iced cappucino with a scoop of ice cream, topped with whipped cream. I’m partial to the caramel fleur de sel ice cream, but you can choose any flavor from their menu.

Fish & Chips

This dish is beloved for a reason! Golden, crispy battered fish and thick, golden fries, both fried to perfection. What’s not to love?

The best part? It’s available via mobile order at the Yorkshire County Fish Shop along the UK pavilion.

Traditional Poutine

One of my favorite snacks from Canada, as well as the Canada pavilion, is poutine.

This classic dish features french fries topped with cheese curds and rich brown gravy. It’s savory and super comforting.

You can grab this dish from the Refreshment Port, just outside the Canada pavilion.

TIP: Stick with the classic variation and don’t fall victim to the seasonal flavors. I’ve never had one that was good, unfortunately.

World Discovery

If you’re gonna snack around Epcot right, you gotta hit up everything, not just World Showcase!

Space food

While World Discovery is slim pickings when it comes to snacks, there is one that fits the vibe of this area: space snacks!

For this unique snack, head to the Mission Space gift shop to the left of the ride’s main entrance. There you’ll find an entire rack filled with space ice cream sandwiches, peaches, and other fun space food to try so you can pretend you’re an astronaut.

Seasonal lattes

For a non-spacey snack, my favorite spot is the Joffrey’s cart in World Discovery, where there’s always a fun seasonal latte to try. It’s almost always my first stop before I get in the standby line for Cosmic Rewind.

World Nature

The most authentic food to this section unfortunately doesn’t fit my definition of a snack (something quick & easy).

So if you want to stick with authentic on this food crawl, hit up Garden Grill, where they serve family-style dishes using produce grown on Living with the Land.

Pistachio macaron

For a quick snack in World Nature, head to Sunshine Seasons.

Here you can grab a Mickey-shaped pistachio macaron that I ate so quickly that I failed to grab a photo (blogger fail!). But I’ll be back on my next trip to grab one because it was tasty!

World Celebration

I’ve heard great things about GEO-82, but I haven’t been yet, so I can’t in good faith recommend something officially.

But there is a spot I’ve been to consistently: Festival Favorites.

This fun spot is tucked in the corner of the CommuniCore building and has an ever changing menu serving favorite dishes from festivals past, like the pierogis and kielbasa above. Bottom line, you know everything’s good since they’re fan favorites!

Festival booths

Last, but not least, hit up as many festival booths you can. The majority of the year, there’s a festival running at Epcot, so chances are high that you’ll be able to count on this tip.

These booths switch up their concept and menu each festival (and sometimes part way through a festival!), so there’s constantly a barrage of new snacks to try at Epcot.

Since the booths and menus change constantly – even year to year at the same festival – I’m not going to give you a list of items to try. But I will say this: trying something new IS the fun!

If you like to plan ahead, like me, download the WDW Food & Wine app, which has all of the festival booth menus for each festival (not just Food & Wine, despite the name!), and lets you rate, review, submit photos, and more.
